Bartzen & Ball began Phase I of the Walker Building Renovations in the spring of 2003.

This first phase of a five phase renovation plan involved renovating the historic Dunnington Reading Room to return it to its original use as the central study area for students. Additionally, the reading room renovation will provide space for a new College Counseling Center located conveniently at the crossroads of the School.

A wireless LAN system allows students and presenters full mobility and a variety of settings in which to work. New furniture, lighting, windows, and HVAC systems have established the standards for the future renovations of the Walker Building.

An extensive donor recognition and naming program is being instituted on the walls of the main room, which will recognize the school’s history since its founding in 1899.
